Mass timber construction has disrupted the built environment over the past decade. Yet and just like most innovative methods, it still faces some challenges due to several challenges ranging from skill gaps to supply chain. 

The constructability of hybrid solution integrating light frame and mass timber construction system will help define processes and paths to accelerate the delivery of more housing units and address the supply challenge with a net zero carbon impact. The SAIT Team will conduct a thorough concept development in concert with industry and community stakeholders. Outreach and support to bridging the gaps of supply challenges will be put forward to sustain a long-term implementation of the solution.
