How to Build a Public Space Inventory
Join Evergreen for an engaging and informative webinar that explores how your municipality can develop a public space inventory (PSI) and how to best put this tool to use. This event is open to municipal and Indigenous community leaders, government staff, and other interested community builders from across Canada.
This workshop will provide attendees with a guided overview of our most recent toolkit, Building Better Public Spaces: A toolkit to create a Public Space Inventory. This resource is intended to help those working on public space and urban issues in their city and is a good first step in building a PSI. It was designed to enable communities in Canada to understand public space typologies, how people are using public spaces and to identify ways to evaluate and prioritize investments.
A comprehensive inventory can serve as a valuable tool for fostering community engagement, encouraging citizen participation in the planning process and ensuring that public spaces reflect the diverse needs and aspirations of the community. In addition to learning how to use the toolkit, this event will also showcase a line-up of speakers that will elaborate on evaluative tools and techniques to develop and enhance your community’s PSI.
This webinar is offered at no-cost to participants.
